Our Philosophy

Therapists at Child First are passionate about helping your child’s physical and social development.

It is Child First Therapy’s mission to deliver gold standard therapy services that get results.  We provide support to parents, and to integral staff at school and day care facilities.

To ensure excellence, we have a strong focus  on continuous education for all therapists on the Child First team. Ongoing professional education ensures our assessments and therapy interventions are in line with the latest evidence and best practice.

All therapists at Child First Therapy are qualified to work in Australia and have professional registrations and memberships with their peak bodies and registration boards.

We have strong ethical values which frame the nature and direction of the organisation. These values are:

  • Recognise and respect each child and their family’s right to privacy, dignity and confidentiality
  • Encourage the child to achieve their goals and maximise their ability to participate in play, school and home activities, and transition through school into adulthood
  • Enable the child and their family to exercise choice and control over their lifestyle
  • Respect and value the customs, beliefs, and cultural and ethnic backgrounds of individual families and the Child First Therapy team
  • Encourage a strong team spirit amongst the Child First Therapy team
  • Protect the safety of all persons
  • Ensure the organisation is responsive to the changing needs of the community
