Team Leader Child First Therapy

Kate is an Occupational Therapist with extensive experience in working with children and their families to help them to achieve their best out of each day.

Kate has extensive skills assessing and treating children and adolescents with a range of needs including Developmental Delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Cerebral Palsy. Kate is also trained in implementing feeding therapy for fussy eaters using the SOS technique. She uses this in line with her broad interest in childhood and adolescent nutrition and how this can affect functioning across the day. Kate has a special interest in equipment prescription and has previously worked as a wheelchair therapist advising on and prescribing simple and complex wheelchairs and seating as well as other equipment needed in the home and school environments.

Career Achievements/Recognitions

Kate has always been a valued and respected member of multi-disciplinary teams both in Australia and the UK where she lived for some time. Kate took on the role of Team Leader for Child First Therapy in August 2019 which sees her supervising a team of therapists and supporting the management team to guide the business with regards to clinical excellence and quality of service provision.

  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy – The University of Sydney
Kate is a Mum to a little girl and boy and loves spending time with her family and exploring the great outdoors.
