Ashleigh is a passionate and experienced therapist who enjoys helping children with varying diagnoses achieve their life goals in a fun manner.
Ashleigh has gained exceptional observational and clinical reasoning skills through her various experiences. Ashleigh is able to provide a thorough assessment and develop meaningful therapy goals for clients targeting the child and families life goals. Using clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice she is able to outline and help execute the path to achieve these goals. Ashleigh enjoys and has experience in equipment prescription including walking frames/aids, standing frames and adaptive bicycles / tricycles. Ashleigh has a particular interest in neurological conditions and gross motor developmental difficulties, as well as improving participation in the community such as promoting sport involvement for children with disabilities.
Ashleigh enjoys being outdoors, being active, spending time with her friends and family, and drinking coffee.
- Ashleigh enjoys working within a multi-disciplinary team to improve child development and has experience in both the not-for-profit and private sector.
- Ashleigh is a published author in Pediatric Physical Therapy on her honours research which explored the effects of an adaptive bungee trampoline for children with Cerebral Palsy. Ashleigh has presented at conferences in Australia and overseas in New Zealand on this study.
- Ashleigh enjoys attending courses to further develop her professional development. Ashleigh has travelled to Canada to receive her Cuevas Medek Exercises (CME) Level One certification.
