Social Skills & Communication
We assist children

• Who are having difficulty initiating and maintaining friendships
• Who experience difficulty reading social cues
• Who find it difficult to communicate appropriately in various environments (e.g. at home, in school and in the community)

Specialised Equipment includes

• Group and individual therapy to provide children with the knowledge, training and practical experience to prepare them for real-life scenarios
• Use of social stories

Tracking your child’s progress

Tracking progress helps you and your child remain motivated. Observations of your child’s response to social situations within the therapy environment as well as within the home, school and community will encourage children to practice skills they have learnt in sessions.

Your child’s program

Your child’s program will include a combination of individual and group therapy sessions to provide children with knowledge and the practical experience in a safe environment to socially interact and communicate at an age appropriate level.

The Team

Our highly experienced occupational therapists and speech pathologists will work with you and your child to facilitate a better understanding of social skills and communicating effectively.
