We assist carers (e.g. parents, teachers and siblings) and disability support workers learn and or refresh their manual handling skills. Training can be provided in our premises in Pymble or onsite. The competency assessment process ensures that participants can demonstrate competency in risk assessment and practical manual handling principles, techniques and strategies. Training programs cover a range of hazardous manual tasks, to prepare carers and disability support workers to work with clients in different environments. Our trainers will liaise with you prior to the session to tailor the session to the specific training needs of your organisation. • Practical manual handling training including: sit to stand transfers, assisted walking, bed mobility, pushing a wheelchair, transfers in and out of vehicles, use of a van hoist and use of mobile/ceiling hoists.
