Intensive Neurological and Physical Therapy – INPuT

Intensive Neurological and Physical Therapy – INPuT

Intensive therapy - children - FUN Frame
Who we help

We assist children with complex conditions such as:

  • cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, stroke and brain injury
  • genetic disorders such as Down Syndrome.

We also help children with developmental delay, who may be falling behind their peers in areas such as:

  • gross and fine motor skills
  • speech and language
  • feeding and swallowing.
What we offer

We offer intensive therapy for children (INPuT), where we treat your child for two to four hours a day, five days a week, for two full weeks. Your child will be treated by a range of specialists including:

  • Physiotherapists
  • Speech pathologists
  • Occupational therapists
  • Massage therapists
  • Hydrotherapists (aquatic physiotherapy).

The time and duration of each INPuT program will change depending on your child’s needs and stamina. So you have a program that is custom made for your child. We also continually adapt our approach in line with your child’s progress so that they continue to reach their goals.

Why intensive therapy?

Intensive therapy aims to strengthen and condition, decrease unwanted reflexes and teach new improved motor patterns through correct alignment. Research shows that intensive repetition and alignment increases neuroplasticity, which can lead to faster progress.

Why Child First?
  • We place great emphasis on the training of our staff and ensure they are up to date with the latest therapy interventions such as suit therapy. This gives you the assurance of knowing our therapists are some of the most highly trained in the field and have the know-how to help your child make real progress.
  • As the first private, multi-disciplinary practice in Sydney we have a team that is used to working together all the time. They know how to work together to get the best outcomes for your child.
  • We involve you every step of the way in your child’s treatment and make sure the whole family can be involved in INPuT by providing you with a detailed home program and video clips. We’ll also order any equipment you might need for your home program so you have one less thing to take care of.
  • We offer an environment that feels like home so you and your child can feel relaxed and comfortable. This includes free Wi-Fi so you can keep in touch with home or the office.

INPuT is ideal for country children who may have difficulty accessing services at home. If you are in need of accommodation please just ask and we can assist with some options close by.
